71 Minutes and 33 tracks tell tale of the tape for this second release from Munich's modern-day artistic trio known as Chicks on Speed. The trio comprised of New Yorker Melissa Logan, Australia's Alex Murray-Leslie, and Munich's Kiki Moorse, spend their days in their design studio, producing anything from print media to art installations, and their nights performing and recording music. After meeting in a bar in Munich way back in 1997, the 3 girls decided to put their creative minds together and establish not only their design studio, but also through their love of music, a musical collaboration that can tear the roof off any rave.

"Re-releases and Un-Releases" is the first United States release from Chicks on Speed through K Records and features the bands popular selections from their debut "Will Save Us All" as well as remixes and un-released material. The girls manage to fill every inch of data on this CD, while introducing listeners to their crossover style which ranges between Industrial Hardcore, Synth-Pop, Trance, House, and even art-installation-like Muzak The featured release on this Cd is the instant rave anthem "Turn of the Century", featured in 2 different flavors. Also included is the Eurotrash club favorite "Glamour Girl", which is touted as the bands first breakthrough single. My personal favorite track off the album, and the one that made me purchase the album after hearing it, is the quirky and yet extremely catchy "Eurotrash Girl".

The album rounds itself out by including 2 B-52s covers "Gimmie Back My Man" and "Song For a Future Generation". Chicks on Speed list the B-52s as their biggest influence and influences from bands such as the Raincoats and The Normal are most evident as well. Patrick Pulsinger (Delta5) appears on this album producing a remix of the track "Mind Your Own Business"

Chicks on Speed has a bright future ahead of itself in both the Munich Art Scene and the Eurotrash Dance Club Scene. Past and forthcoming collaborations with DJ Hell and DMX Krew have solitifide the bands establishment in rave culture.
